The GFNY Panama course starts at the CauseWay Amador, taking you along the Miraflores and Pedro Miguel locks, passing over the Centennial Bridge that crosses the historic Panama Canal to head west of the province of Panama. The medium course continues until reaching Av Mariano Rivera, which serves as a return point to the Centenario Bridge and to CauseWay Amador.
The long course keeps going until entering the Cerro Cama community. At this point we will enjoy steep slopes and fun descents to La Lagarterita, located on Gatun Lake (artificial lake, a key element of the Panama Canal) which will be the return point on the beautiful road in the middle of nature back to the Centennial Bridge and to CauseWay Amador. A rewarding 170km course with +2021m of elevation gain in the city that divides the American continent in two.
LONG COURSE IS A COMPETITION: Only the finishers of the long course are eligible for category rankings and Overall and Podium awards. If you want to race and be ranked in your category, you must complete the long course. Top 10% of finishers in each age group earn a spot in the Qualifier Corral at every GFNY World event.
MEDIUM COURSE IS NOT A COMPETITION: The riders of the medium course will be provided their start-to-finish time, but will not be ranked by finish time. All finish times will be listed in alphabetical order.
